Matthew Caravan, RMT, DOMP
Matthew graduated from Eastern College in July 2009 with a diploma in Massage Therapy. Originally from Corner Brook, Matthew has been working in multidisciplinary clinics both here on the west coast as well as the east coast of our province for the past 14 years. From Sept 2019 to August of 2022 he was also an instructor with the Massage
Therapy program at Academy Canada in Corner Brook, NL.
In August 2023 Matthew graduated from the National Academy of Osteopathy in North York, Ontario with a diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice (DOMP) and looks forwardto offering osteopathic services in the Corner Brook area. He uses a variety of techniques when treating his clients including deep tissue massage, myofascial trigger point release, joint mobilization, muscle energy techniques, and most importantly educating his clients in the ways they can improve their quality of health and maintain progress achieved through massage therapy and osteopathy.
Matthew’s professional interests include working with clients who suffer from chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia, temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJD), low back pain and conditions associated with motor vehicle accidents, as well as pain/biomechanical conditions associated with pregnancy. After spending 13 years living on the east coast of Newfoundland, in 2015 Matthew and his partner decided to move back to the west coast to raise their son, and be closer to family. He enjoys spending time in nature, hiking, going to the gym, gardening and
spending weekends at the cabin.
